Membership Types
Calforests' bylaws stipulate two types of membership: voting and associate:
A voting member is defined as a company or agent for 10,000 acres or more of timberland in California, or a company engaged in the harvesting or manufacturing of 5 MMBF or more of timber in California, or an entity engaged in the annual consumption of 85,000 or more bone dry tons of wood by-products at free standing facilities in California. Please note that voting members must be approved by the current membership.
An associate member includes any individual, partnership or corporation or group of individuals own or serve as the agent for less than 9,999 acres of timberland in California or provides goods/service to the forest products sector.
