Construction Update from the Wood Products Alliance
On a recent stakeholder conference call, the Wood Products Alliance informed participants that “Gov. Jay Inslee (D) announced the first phase of construction openings in his state on April 24. Dan Newhouse (R) and Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R) also contributed to this effort. Building Industry Association of Washington Executive Vice President Greg Lane was part of the working group that developed the safety guidance to allow construction to begin in the state.”
Baker Botts Rolls Out COVID-19 Resources
Baker Botts released a comprehensive COVID-19 resource guide that includes detailed information on “utility assistance, Medicaid, taxes, fraud/price gouging, shelter-in-place rules, student loans, mental health – and dozens of other subjects of critical importance to individuals,” according to a press release issued by the law firm. The Forest Landowners Association has created a COVID-19 resources page, which includes information covering federal and state policies, as well as available financial aid for the forestry sector.
