Are you dedicated to keeping California’s forests healthy?
If so, we need your help again at The California Forest Center – our one-acre forest exhibit – to teach Californians about the value of sustainable forests. We need volunteers to help make this year’s exhibit at the California State Fair a success. The Fair will be held from July 10 through July 26, 2015.
This is our biggest opportunity to educate the public about the multiple benefits of sustainable forest management in California. Last year, we welcomed more than 46,000 people to The Forest Center and we’re hoping to reach even more this year. With your help, we’ll be able to highlight the issues that impact California’s vast, diverse and abundant forestlands. This opportunity also allows you to make great contacts with other resource professionals.
You don’t need to be an expert – just a friendly face who can assist our guests.
As a volunteer, we provide you with free admission into the fair, a parking pass, and snacks and drinks during your shift.
To volunteer, please contact our office at 1-866-241-TREE (8733), or email Michele Vesely at firstname.lastname@example.org.
As required by California State Law, please be ready to provide us the following information to comply with Cal Expo’s Megan’s Law requirements:
- Your full name
- Driver license number
- Birth date
- Residence zip code
Shifts available from July 10th-26th.
We hope to see you at the 2015 California State Fair. Please let us know if we can count on your help. Thank you in advance!
