Green Diamond Resource Company Growing with Major Oregon Purchase

Green Diamond Resource Company President Douglas Reed today announced that the company has purchased approximately 600,000 acres of timberland in South Central Oregon from JWTR LLC of Klamath Falls, Ore.With this acquisition, Green Diamond Resource Company owns and manages over 1.3 million acres of forests in California, Oregon, and Washington.“

We are delighted with this significant growth opportunity for our company. This acquisition reflects our confidence in timberland assets and our commitment to the future of the forest products industry,” said Reed.

“We have been careful forest stewards in the Pacific Northwest for nearly 125 years, and we look forward to continuing our long-term commitment to sustainable forestryin Oregon,” he added. Reed further announced that Andy Elsbree has been appointed as Vice President and General Manager of Oregon Operations. Elsbree, who has a forestry

degree from Oregon State University and an MBA from Columbia University, has worked in forest management for over thirty years–most recently as an analyst and manager for the company’s California Timberlands Division.

“I have confidence that Andy will provide great leadership as we integrate this new business into the company,” said Reed.

Elsbree will lead a team of over 60 employees who manage the Oregon Operation sbased at Klamath Falls, Oregon.
