George, who started in his new role last week, had this to say about his promotion: “As many of you know, forestry runs in the family for me, so its a tremendous honor to accept this new position with Calforests and to have the opportunity to further support the work of this wonderful industry and its members. I am humbled and look forward to further promoting and protecting the interests of California’s forestry sector.” In this new capacity, George will continue to spearhead Calforests’ regulatory affairs efforts, while also taking on several special projects and initiatives.
